China Art Museum, Shanghai
The China Art Museum in Shanghai was formerly known as the Shanghai Art Museum, which was established in 1956.
The museum moved to its current home, the iconic China Pavilion of the 2010 World Expo, in October 2012.
Standing 63 meters tall, the China Pavilion building features a traditional "oriental crown" architecture, utilizing traditional dougong brackets and wooden brackets fixed layer upon layer between the top of a column and a crossbeam.
The museum's permanent exhibitions showcase the evolution of modern Chinese art, renowned artists' works, Shanghai's history and culture.
Special exhibitions include the multimedia version of Qingming Shanghe Tu, or Along the River During the Qingming Festival.
While the permanent exhibition is free, admission to the multimedia version of Qingming Shanghe Tu is 20 yuan ($2.8).
