Located within the Changyang Campus in Shanghai's Yangpu district, the Genmei Museum houses 1,500 square meters of exhibition space. This pioneering institution is devoted to exploring the profound impact of Chinese porcelain on European cultural and economic landscapes, establishing itself as China's premier platform for showcasing the intersection of classic European art and intercultural exchange.

Founded by the distinguished collector and philanthropist Sun Jianwei and her husband Laszlo Parakovits, the Genmei Museum is the first of its kind in Yangpu district to be created by overseas Chinese.

The museum's five exhibition halls collectively chronicle the westward journey of Chinese porcelain, its esteem among royalty and nobility, and the innovative evolution of decorative arts.
