Paradox Museum is an immersive, interactive experience brand that originated in Europe, with locations in global cities including Paris, London, Berlin, Stockholm, and Helsinki.

Originally located on Middle Huaihai Road, Paradox Museum Shanghai closed for renovations in 2025 and reopened in August 2026 at a new site on East Nanjing Road with upgraded experiences.

The museum brings together over 50 interactive installations spanning optical illusions, spatial paradoxes, light-and-shadow effects, and more. Classic exhibits, including those themed around Schrodinger's cat and the Ames Room, have been reimagined and presented in new settings.

New additions include an installation inspired by Escher's concept of contradictory space, offering a Monument Valley-like experience in real life, along with a giant kaleidoscope, an infinite bamboo forest, and an upgraded mirror maze.

The experience encourages visitors to explore, change perspectives, and engage with others. Altering a viewpoint or collaborating with a friend can significantly change what is seen. The space attracts couples seeking a fun challenge, friends looking for a shared adventure, and families aiming to inspire curiosity and desire of discovery in children.
