Shanghai's new sports festival to boost local economy
The inaugural "Life Shines at Vital-Sport" festival - part of the Shanghai Sports Consumption Festival - kicked off on July 21 and will continue until Sept 1 at Ruihong Tiandi in Shanghai's Hongkou district.
Timed to coincide with the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics, Ruihong Tiandi has partnered with various organizations and training institutions to create a local "Olympics" for residents. The "Life Shines at Vital-Sport" festival is in line with the national initiative to bring sporting events to scenic areas, streets, and business districts.
The festival offers over 40 sporting events and experiences across three main sections named: Lai Sai Fa, Hao Bai Xiang and Ga Nao Mang. It encompasses four official competitions, six community sports programs, 10 parent-child activities, and 12 summer sports. This diverse program aims to draw crowds to the commercial area and convert sports event traffic into increased consumption.
Additionally, Ruihong Tiandi has joined forces with more than 20 sports and entertainment companies to launch a summer card. This card combines sporting events with new consumer products at discounted prices to stimulate the sports market and boost consumer enthusiasm.
Organizers encourage everyone to embody the spirit of sports throughout the festival, making sure that the scorching summer heat doesn't overshadow the participants' sporting brilliance.
