Jing'an Park
Jing'an Park is a historic green oasis and a "borderless park" in the West Nanjing Road business area.
Following a nine-month renovation, the park reopened with perimeter walls removed along Middle Yan'an Road and Huashan Road. The number of entrances has increased from three to six, while the park now remains open 24 hours a day to better blend into the surrounding neighborhood.
The park's central axis features a rare grove of 32 century-old plane trees, most of which are over 120 years old and received enhanced protection during the renovation.
A long-closed rockery area has reopened, with Lansheng Pavilion offering elevated views of the park's lake, rockery waterfalls, and surrounding skyscrapers, bringing traditional Chinese garden aesthetics into dialogue with the modern cityscape.
The park also features an upgraded Eight Scenes Garden, improved water systems, and modern amenities, including nursery rooms, family restrooms, a cafe with park views, and children's play areas.
