Shanghai is providing a 5,000 yuan ($704) subsidy to eligible departure tax refund stores, with no application required.

The funding is designed to support the purchase of essential tax-refund equipment, including computers, printers, and passport authentication devices, as well as the display of tax refund policy information and guidance signage inside and outside stores.
