The Changning district of Shanghai organized a special jobs fair in IM Shanghai, a commercial complex in the district, on Aug 23. The event included 105 enterprises operating in IM Shanghai offering more than 2,000 job opportunities – an event that attracted the participation of more than 1,000 college graduates and young folks, who handed in 1,680 resumes.

A standout feature of the jobs fair was the emphasis on "office building economy + new business modes", with job positions categorized into different tiers.

The fair included sections for enterprises in the office buildings, new types of businesses, human resources enterprises and business startups – catering with precision to the needs of graduates in the community seeking jobs.

Zhang Yuan, director of the Changning District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, highlighted the district's ongoing efforts to establish "15-minute employment service centers".

He said that the centers were deeply embedded in major commercial buildings, serving over 200 companies, 150 business entities and three residential communities.

On the same day, Changning district kicked off its jobs season for graduates from local universities.

Since August, Changning has introduced over 2,000 job positions in three phases, especially tailored to graduates. Furthermore, it plans to seize the opportunity presented by the prime autumn recruitment season to continue hosting campus recruitment events for graduates from universities across the Yangtze River Delta region.
