Shanghai hosts talent summit to promote innovation and entrepreneurship

The 4th Shanghai Talent Summit, set to be held in Shanghai on Sept 20, aims to become an internationally influential annual event for innovation and entrepreneurship.

From Sept 20 to 23, activities for promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, such as a job fair directed at graduates from overseas universities, an elite training camp for start-up entrepreneurs, and a start-up project matchmaking conference, are set to take place.

The event will focus on professionals urgently needed in key areas in Shanghai, bringing together top-level international students from global universities and renowned companies and institutions in the city.

The event is meant to serve as a large-scale, high-quality, and comprehensive job-seeking platform for international students, providing them with more direct and convenient career guidance and employment opportunities, thereby solidifying the talent foundation for Shanghai's long-term and sustainable development.

Nearly 100 leading enterprises, universities, and research institutes will have their human resource representatives on-site to meet with attendees.

Moreover, thousands of students returning from world-renowned institutions such as the University of Cambridge, Imperial College London, London School of Economics, Columbia University, Stanford University, and the University of Chicago will participate in face-to-face discussions.

On Sept 20 and 21, an event dedicated to promoting innovation and entrepreneurship will be held in Hall A of the West Bund Art Center as part of the 4th Shanghai Talent Summit activities. This grand event is expected to see over 10,000 professionals and more than 1,500 investors, along with over 1,000 young volunteers, come and explore the possibilities of technological innovation.

Over 150 industry leaders and experts in the automotive, aerospace, artificial intelligence, biomedicine, sustainable energy, advanced manufacturing, and entertainment and consumer industries will be present.

The elite training camp, scheduled from Sept 21 to 23, has expanded to accommodate 80 participants, with renowned investors, foreign experts, and other industry professionals participating in teaching and sharing sessions. Additionally, opportunities for visiting and learning from the AI industry development hub in the Lin-gang Special Area, AI innovation port, and national-level incubators will be offered.
