Sino-US young professional delegation explores charming Changning
The Shanghai Nanjing Plus 2024 delegation, involving nearly 20 young professionals from China and the United States, visited Changning district, Shanghai, on Sept 23.
The delegation visited the East China University of Political Science and Law (ECUPL) Section of the Suzhou Creek Landscape Walkway, which integrates the ECUPL campus with the creek walkway through spatial planning. Spanning over 900 meters, the section is an integral part of Shanghai's "One River, One Creek" development plan.
The delegates immersed themselves in the picturesque scenery while enjoying the historical buildings along Suzhou Creek.
They also visited Columbia Circle, a nearly 48,000-square-meter area in Changning showcasing the architectural diversity of Shanghai over the last century. It consists of three historical buildings - the Sun Ke's Villa, the Columbia Country Club, and the Navy Club, 11 buildings that reflect the industrial development of New China, and four modern buildings with unique designs. It is now a vibrant urban community that combines office, entertainment, lifestyle, and cultural functions.
The Shanghai Nanjing Plus 2024 is a Sino-US youth expert cultural exchange program conducted by the Shanghai Institute of International Studies and the Nanjing University-Johns Hopkins University Sino-US Cultural Research Center.
