Changning district holds community life festival
A community life festival — called Hi Xijiao — started at the Bailian Xijiao Shopping Center in Shanghai's Changning district on Oct 19.
The festival featured a bustling market, rooftop sports activities, interactive workshops, and community performances.

Nearly 50 brands showed a raft of goods at the market, including upcycled products and sustainable designs.
A highlight was the sale of pre-owned items, with vendors displaying toys, books, and clothing.
The festival also catered to pet owners with a range of pet-related products and services. It will include a pet sports day on Oct 26, aiming to promote a friendly environment for pet owners and their furry friends.

Interactive workshops offered hands-on experiences in traditional crafts like seal carving, woodworking, ceramics, painting, and weaving.
The festival culminated in community performances, including dance, a martial arts display, and traditional Chinese opera.
