In a recent "Ningjuhui" dialogue series event jointly organized by the publicity department of Changning district and Radio Shanghai, experts encouraged people to board the "express train" of the China International Import Expo to better leverage its spillover effects.

They said that the CIIE serves as an effective stage for high-quality opening-up. Since its inception, the CIIE has played a pivotal role in building a cooperative platform shared by both domestic and international entities, they said, adding that it has evolved into the global premiere platform for new products, the preferred destination for cutting-edge technologies, and the primary hub for innovative services.

He Yan, overseas sourcing manager at Freshippo International, emphasized the need to bring these lesser-known but top-notch products to Chinese homes, and the CIIE is a crucial part of this process, He said.

Shi Konglan, product director of Theland, highlighted that since the second CIIE, many of the company's exhibits have become marketable products. Utilizing the CIIE offers crucial insights into consumer needs, Shi said.

Li Yi, public relations manager of Buy Quickly, said that CIIE allows for extensive interactions with overseas brands, facilitating negotiations and offering professional services.

The seventh China International Import Expo, which concluded in Shanghai on Nov 10, attracted the participation of around 3,500 exhibitors, including a record 297 Fortune Global 500 companies and industry leaders. Of all participants, 186 companies and organizations have attended all seven editions of the exhibition.

Tentative deals worth $80 billion were achieved during the six-day exhibition, a year-on-year increase of 2 percent, according to data released on Nov 10 at a news conference held by the CIIE Bureau.
