Badminton strengthens bonds at Hongqiao Talent Apartment

A badminton competition took place at the Hongqiao Sports Park in Shanghai on Feb 15.
Organized by the Hongqiao Talent Apartment in Changning district, the event was meant to help neighbors get to know each other better through the sport.
During the competition, 18 players formed nine teams and played fast-paced 15-minute matches without professional referees. Volunteers kept score, and prizes were donated.

Management at the Hongqiao Talent Apartment noticed that many residents loved playing badminton, so they created a group for enthusiasts to enjoy the sport together. The group has now grown to 179 members.
The apartment has secured access to a professional court at the Hongqiao Sports Park, offering free sessions every two weeks.

Plans are in place to expand this model to other interest groups within the apartment, such as cycling clubs and reading clubs.
