Changning hosts Sino-Japanese e-commerce exchange meeting

The 2025 Cross-border E-commerce Sino-Japanese Cooperation Opportunities Exchange Meeting was held at Shanghai Mart in Changning district on March 14.
Discussions focused on future trends and strategic plans for Sino-Japanese cooperation in cross-border e-commerce.
Wu Liang, deputy director of the foreign trade development division at the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, emphasized China's "dual circulation" strategy — an economic development pattern in which domestic and international markets reinforce each other, highlighting opportunities from China's vast market and consumption upgrades.
He said that Shanghai encourages the use of AI and big data to enhance supply chain efficiency and build a global trade network.
Masa Yamada from the Osaka prefectural government, Shanghai office, said that cross-border e-commerce offers new avenues for small and medium-sized enterprises and local producers. Osaka, as Kansai region's economic center, hopes to collaborate with Chinese partners to advance e-commerce cooperation.
During the meeting, the Changning district investment promotion office shared strategic opportunities and resources, while Hongqiao subdistrict highlighted its international and business-friendly environment.
