In Shanghai's Changning district, there are a total of 150 regional headquarters of multinational corporations and foreign-invested research and development centers, including two that were recognized as Shanghai's regional headquarters of multinational corporations during a certification ceremony on March 21.

One of the recognized enterprises is Lagardere Services China (Shanghai) Co Ltd, which specializes in retail operations at airports and other tourist destinations. Lagardere is a subsidiary of the renowned French media and high-tech company Lagardere SCA.

The other is Sigma Trading Shanghai Co Ltd, established in February 2013. Specializing in the manufacturing and sales of optical equipment such as DSLR/mirrorless cameras, compact digital cameras, interchangeable lenses, and specialized accessories, Sigma Trading is a wholly owned subsidiary of Japan's Sigma Corporation.

In recent years, Changning has been striving to nurture an ecosystem revolving around the regional headquarters of multinational corporations.

Through the continuous advancement of the Headquarters Capacity Enhancement Action initiative, the implementation of project management, and the provision of specialized services tailored to each enterprise, the district has leveraged national resources to unlock the growth potential of high-quality foreign-funded enterprises.
