A highlight of the event was the launch of the International Youth Maker Alliance. This initiative aims to nurture talent with a global perspective for the AI era by offering real-world learning experiences that integrate industry, academia, and research, alongside international competitions.

The China-US Young Maker Competition encourages young creators to devise innovative solutions to societal challenges by blending cultural insights from both China and the United States. This year's Shanghai division saw a notable increase in participation, with 738 students divided into 164 teams from 47 universities.

Under the theme "Co-Making the Future", the competition focused on pioneering practices in 11 cutting-edge fields, including low-carbon environmental protection, AI  applications, and public health.

During the offline evaluation on June 21, nearly 200 makers from over 10 universities, including Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Tongji University, gathered to tackle issues related to AI and the digital transformation of society.
