A group of international students recently explored Changning district as part of the Shanghai Theatre Academy's summer school program.

The program has brought together 48 students from 22 countries and regions for a 20-day journey focused on traditional Chinese culture and contemporary artistic innovation.

During their visit, the students explored key landmarks and cultural spaces in Changning, including Zhongshan Park, West Park Mansions, Taoyuanfang residential compounds, and the Yuyuan Yaji Cultural and Creative Center. They admired the different architectural styles, such as Neoclassicism and Baroque, gaining insights into the history behind these structures.

The creative shops on Yuyuan Road also proved popular, leading to engaging discussions with shop owners about design concepts and the purchase of cultural and creative products.

This cultural experience allowed the students to appreciate the urban fabric of Shanghai, characterized by a century of history and a rich blend of traditional heritage and modern trends.
