Shanghai Customs technical center launches core service station in Changning
Shanghai Customs' technical center plans to establish a comprehensive service station in Changning district, a key part of Hongqiao International Central Business District, extending national-level customs inspection and testing services to one of Shanghai's major outward-facing hubs.
The announcement was made at a launch ceremony and a China International Import Expo-related forum held in Changning on Dec 10. Under the initiative, the service station will be located in the core area of the Hongqiao International CBD, bringing technical support closer to companies engaged in cross-border trade and reinforcing Hongqiao as a hub for enterprises seeking global expansion.
During the forum, technical specialists from the center delivered targeted training sessions on pressing issues that enterprises are experiencing, including commodity classification, laboratory testing for food and health products, cosmetics ingredient compliance, and Chinese labelling standards, hazardous goods inspection, updated regulations for toys and infant products, and market access rules for mechanical and electrical goods.
Changning has been intensifying efforts to build a globally oriented headquarters cluster and an integrated service platform to support companies expanding overseas. The establishment of the core service station is expected to amplify the year-round impact of the CIIE and further strengthen Hongqiao's role as a gateway linking domestic industries with global markets.
