The new campus of Shanghai Guanghua Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine opened on May 6 at No 777 Dingxi Road in Changning district, consolidating the hospital's key outpatient, emergency, and inpatient services.

Outpatient and emergency services from the hospital's Xinhua Road campus, as well as outpatient and inpatient services from its West Yan'an Road campus, have been relocated to the new site. The Xinhua Road campus will continue to provide inpatient care.

The new campus places a strong emphasis on smart healthcare and patient-centered services. Patients can access AI-assisted guidance, self-service payment, examination booking, and digital medical report inquiries through integrated systems designed to streamline the treatment process. The hospital has also upgraded its clinical layout and patient flow design, while adding rehabilitation areas, health education spaces, and barrier-free facilities to improve the overall healthcare experience.

Guanghua Hospital is a Grade-A tertiary specialty hospital known for integrating traditional Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of joint and rheumatic diseases. With the launch of the new campus, the hospital is expanding from a specialty-focused institution into a more comprehensive medical center. Specialized departments, including joint medicine, joint surgery, spinal surgery, hand and foot surgery, gout treatment, and rehabilitation medicine, have all been introduced to the new facility.

The hospital has also maintained and upgraded Shanghai's only 24-hour emergency service dedicated to gout treatment.
