The 2026 Shanghai Enterprises Overseas Talent Professional Development Forum was held in the United Kingdom and Switzerland from Oct 16 to 19, presenting job opportunities and talent support policies from Shanghai's Changning district to international professionals.

The four-city tour covered Oxford and London in the UK, as well as Zurich and Lausanne in Switzerland. The program featured presentations on Shanghai's talent policies, introductions to recruiting employers, and face-to-face discussions between employers and prospective candidates.

A total of 67 Shanghai employers offered 654 types of positions, with 2,453 recruitment opportunities available, including 301 positions for candidates with doctoral degrees or higher. The job openings spanned a broad range of fields, including artificial intelligence and foundation models, brain-computer interfaces and brain science, quantum computing and algorithms, embodied intelligence and humanoid robotics, AI chips and integrated circuits, satellite and aerospace technologies, laser and precision optics, biomedicine and clinical medicine, astronomy and geodynamics, and municipal engineering and intelligent construction.

Participating institutions and companies included the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, East China University of Science and Technology, Shanghai Maritime University, AGIBOT, and AIXR, among others.

The event was designed to offer overseas professionals, including doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and academics, opportunities to learn about research and career prospects in Shanghai and to connect directly with potential employers.
