Youfeng Xiaoyuan
Youfeng Xiaoyuan has several locations across Pudong, but its Qunle village branch stands out from the rest. It is set inside a century-old house that preserves the classic style of Jiangnan architecture with distinctive white walls and dark tiles.
Inspired by Meet Yourself, a popular Chinese drama set in Dali, Yunnan province, the coffee shop brings the laid-back charm of Yunnan to the Shanghai countryside. From the architecture and interior decor to the snacks and staff uniforms, every detail reflects the region's distinctive character.
The coffee beans used here are small-grain Yunnan coffee, renowned for their fruity notes. Another signature drink is the hand-smashed lemon tea, made with lemons from a farming cooperative in Weishan, Dali.
Specialties on the menu go beyond coffee and tea. There is pizza topped with wild mushrooms, as well as rushan, a traditional cheese from Dali.
Visitors can also try on ethnic costumes for photos and browse cultural products from the region, offering a chance to experience the traditions of Yunnan's ethnic cultures without leaving Shanghai.
