MM Coffee
Located in Mamen village, Jiading district, MM Coffee is set in a restored farmhouse that once served as a local residence. The original wooden beams and aged wall textures have been well preserved, while warm, contemporary touches have been thoughtfully added. Step inside, and the aroma of coffee blends naturally with the breeze drifting in from the fields.
The courtyard features tables and cabinets made from wood and bamboo. Outside the courtyard, rice fields stretch into the distance, with a small vegetable patch adding a further touch of rural charm.
Mamen village is known for its pottery. Inside the cafe, nearly 100 handmade ceramic cups and plates are on display, all created by artists who live and work in the village. Each piece differs in shape, glaze, and texture. They are not just for display; customers can choose their own cup to enjoy their coffee, experiencing the concept that art can be part of everyday life.
The menu features a variety of freshly ground coffee drinks, such as orange peel lattes, pineapple sparkling Americanos, classic cappuccinos, and smooth flat whites. Non-coffee options like matcha milk and honey citron tea are also available.
The cafe hosts a rotating mini-exhibition focused on a single artist's creative journey. Visitors can explore the world of ceramic art while enjoying their coffee.
