Through multiple renovations, the current People's Square has become a garden-style square integrating administration, culture, transportation, and commerce. It is one of the most important landmarks in Shanghai.
Surrounding People's Square, the Shanghai Museum, Shanghai Grand Theatre, Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, Shanghai History Museum, and other cultural institutions create a rich cultural atmosphere.
The People's Square attracts a large number of domestic and foreign visitors with its profound cultural heritage and rich landscape resources.
