Maya Tailor was founded in January 1998 by Wang Xiurong, a sixth-generation Hongbang tailor. Originating in Ningbo, the Hongbang tradition played a pioneering role in introducing Western-style tailoring in China.

The studio adheres to traditional Hongbang craftsmanship standards and does not offer semi-bespoke work. Each garment is individually drafted, cut, and constructed to the client’s measurements. Detailed records are maintained for each customer, including measurements, patterns, fabrics, and style preferences, ensuring consistency for future orders. Complimentary alterations and repairs are also provided within a reasonable scope over the long term.

Originating in Hong Kong and established in 2007, David Street combines traditional Hongbang craftsmanship with a strong emphasis on precision tailoring and personalized service.
