Archery World Cup to be held in Pudong, Shanghai
The 2024 Archery World Cup will be held in Pudong New Area in Shanghai from April 23 to 28. China's 12-member archery team is gearing up to qualify for the Paris Olympics.
Following the conclusion of the third round of domestic Olympic qualifiers, the Chinese archery team has finalized its roster, comprising six male and six female athletes. They will represent the nation in a series of international events, including the upcoming Archery World Cup.

As an Olympic year, the 2024 Archery World Cup in Shanghai holds significant importance as it serves as the opening event for the new season and a crucial points-earning opportunity for the Paris Olympics. Top archers from around the world will converge in Shanghai to vie for Olympic qualification points, intensifying the competition.
The qualification rounds and eliminations are scheduled from April 23 to 26 at the Yuanshen Sports Center, while the finals will be held from April 27 to 28 at the Riverside Financial Plaza.
With China having already secured one Olympic quota each for the men's and women's singles, the primary objective for the team is to achieve full participation in the Paris Olympics.

A year ago, the Chinese men's and women's recurve teams delivered commendable performances at the Archery World Cup in Shanghai, securing the men's team silver, women's team bronze, and mixed team silver in the recurve category.
A rejuvenated Chinese archery team, featuring a blend of experienced veterans and promising newcomers, is poised to embark on their journey toward success at the Paris Olympics.
