Registration for the 2025 Shanghai Sheshan Half Marathon will close at 6 pm on March 13. The event is scheduled to start at 7:30 am on Sunday, April 13.

Participants will have the chance to explore the Songjiang University Town, Shanghai Sculpture Park and Chenshan Botanical Garden.

The event will see 8,000 participants, including 7,800 half marathon runners with a registration fee of 200 yuan ($27.6) per person and 200 participants for a charity run with a registration fee of 800 yuan per person.

Payment is required at the time of registration. All participants will be selected through a lottery, with results expected to be announced in late March.

All registered participants are encouraged to promptly check their lottery status. Selected participants will be guaranteed a spot in the event, while the registration fee for those not selected will be refunded automatically within seven working days after the lottery results are announced, with no need to apply for a refund.
