Shanghai Suzhou Creek Half Marathon to kick off on March 23

Shanghai Suzhou Creek Half Marathon is set to kick off at 7 am on March 23 with around 7,000 runners participating.
The race will commence on Moganshan Road and end at Suzhou Creek Park on Yunling East Road, covering a total distance of 21.1 kilometers.
In a bid to encourage more runners to join, the organizers have prepared generous cash prizes for the top six male and female runners.
The top six finishers in each category will receive prizes of 15,000 ($2,068.9), 10,000, 8,000, 5,000, 3,000, and 2,000 yuan, respectively. Additionally, an exciting opportunity awaits the top 150 male and top 100 female athletes, who will be granted direct entry into the prestigious 2025 Shanghai Marathon.

To ensure the safety of participants, specific sections of the route will have designated closure times when no public traffic will be allowed. The closure times for every five kilometers of the race route are set at 7:55 am, 8:40 am, 9:25 am and 10:05 am, with the overall closure time for the half marathon event being 10:15 am.
This year's roster of participants will include 285 foreign runners hailing from 39 countries and regions such as Germany, the United States, and Japan, who will join their Chinese counterparts in exploring the scenic beauty along the banks of the Suzhou Creek.
