Baoshan district will host a family marathon event on May 11, Mother's Day, giving families the chance to run together while enjoying beautiful views of the coast at the Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal.

The event, a 4.2-kilometer race, will be equipped with a medical station and refreshment station.

The family marathon aims to foster unity and love within families and foster a sense of community, self-expression, and confidence in children.

Gift one: Each participant will receive a race pack, which includes:

• official event T-shirt
• race bib (number tag)
• medal for marathon finisher
• sponsor giveaways
• event insurance

Gift two: Each participating family will receive a cruise travel voucher. The cruise travel voucher is valued at 500 yuan ($68) and can be used for cruise trips scheduled between 2025 and 2026. For more details, please visit the information booth on site.

The race will start at 8:30 am on Sunday, May 11

Check-in

Check-in will be from 7 am to 8 am on May 11.

Eligibility

The race is open to all families, with participants aged 6 to 65. At least one family member must be 18 or older.

Location

The event will take place at the Sea World commercial complex, located at No 60 Wusongkou Road, Baoshan district.

Fees

Children aged 6 to 14: 80 yuan ($10.97)

Adults: 100 yuan

For two-child families, the second child gets a 50 percent discount.

For three-child families, the second child gets a 50 percent discount, and the third child is free of charge.
