The 2025 Shanghai Future Star Volleyball Championship is set to take place from July 13 to 19 at the Luwan Gymnasium in Huangpu district.

This year's tournament will feature eight elite volleyball teams from around the world, including two local powerhouses: the China U21 national women's volleyball team and the Shanghai U21 women's volleyball team. Other international contenders include the prominent Bauru U21 team from Brazil, and the national youth teams from Canada, the Netherlands and France.

The championship will follow a best-of-five format, with the eight participating teams divided into groups A and B. The first stage will consist of a round-robin group phase, followed by knockout matches and semifinals in the second stage, and placement matches in the third stage, culminating in the battle for the championship title.

In addition to medals and a championship trophy for the winning team, medals will be awarded to the runners-up and third-place teams. The event will also feature individual honors, including Best Outside Hitter, Best Middle Blocker, Best Opposite, Best Setter, Best Libero, and MVP.
