Spectator's guide to MXGP Motocross World Championship

The 2025 MXGP Motocross World Championship is set to deliver thrilling and dramatic action in Shanghai from Sept 12 to 14. As the penultimate race of the season, this event is the pivotal stage for the world's elite motocross riders to showcase their skills and compete for supremacy.

1. Event details

Ticket check times: Sept 13 and 14, 9 am to 3 pm. Attendees must present identification for entry, with international visitors required to show passports.

Venue location: No 288 Mingcheng Road, Haiwan town, Fengxian district

Seating information:

  • Open seating is available within designated areas, allowing spectators to select their preferred viewing spots.
  • Passageways must remain clear at all times; lingering on steps or in aisles is prohibited.
  • Designated viewing areas for spectators with disabilities are available, with on-site staff ready to assist if needed.

2. Parking information

Motorcycle enthusiasts: Enter through Gate 3, where ticket checks, facial recognition, and security screenings will be conducted. Motorcycle parking is located at a temporary parking lot opposite Gate 3.

General spectators: Entry is also through Gate 3, with parking options as follows:

  • Drive south on Mingcheng Road and enter the MXGP temporary parking lot via Liantang Road.
  • Alternatively, access the parking lot via Hainong Highway and Liantang Road.

VIP spectators: VIP entry is through Gate 5, with additional parking privileges:

Collect a VIP parking pass at the MXGP welcome center, then proceed to the P2 area (VIP parking lot) within the venue, or use the shuttle service from the welcome center to the ticket check area.

3. Transportation options

  • Public transport: Attendees can take Metro Line 5 to Fengxian New City Station, Exit 3, where shuttle buses will take you to the MXGP venue.
  • Hotel shuttle services: Partner hotels also offer shuttle services to and from the venue at specified intervals. Please consult your hotel for more details.

4. Fun activities

Beyond the races, the MXGP event promises a vibrant festival atmosphere suitable for all ages. Highlights include DJ performances on the main stage, an exhilarating freestyle motocross stunt show, and autograph sessions with top riders. The event also features industry brand exhibits, pop-up shops, traditional handicraft experiences, local Fengxian agricultural products, and a variety of culinary offerings. All outdoor activities are free and open to the public, inviting everyone to partake in this celebration of speed and lifestyle.
