International Jump Rope Masters Tournament debuts in China
The 2025 International Jump Rope Masters Tournament will take center stage in Shanghai from Oct 17-21. The event will gather over 200 elite athletes from more than 10 countries and regions, promising a thrilling blend of professional competition and a jump rope festival for enthusiasts of all ages.
Making its debut in China since the tournament's inception in 1997, the event will be hosted in Gaojing town, Baoshan district. Recognized by the International Jump Rope Union as the world's first "everyone can jump rope" demonstration town, Gaojing's role as the host underscores a pivotal step in elevating the jump rope town concept onto the global stage.
The competition will feature three main categories: masters, exhibition, and challenge. Athletes will compete in eight events: individual freestyle, 30-second speed, 3-minute speed, individual freestyle battle, and four individual challenges.
Beyond the competitive arena, attendees can look forward to an array of engaging activities. Highlights include an international jump rope training camp, a lively jump rope carnival open to all, a sports-themed market, exhibitions of intangible cultural heritage, and captivating performances by champion jumpers. This dynamic lineup ensures a memorable experience for participants and spectators alike.
