The 2026 Shanghai Sheshan Half Marathon, set to take place on April 12 in Songjiang district, is now open for registration. Runners will compete along a course renowned for its refreshing greenery and natural scenery.

Course highlights

Building on its well-received classic route, the 2026 Shanghai Sheshan Half Marathon has been refined to deliver an even more scenic and rewarding running experience.

Starting from Shanghai Happy Valley, the course extends deep into the heart of Sheshan Mountain. Runners will pass through the lush, layered forests of Sheshan National Forest Park, experience the organic textures of Chenshan Botanical Garden, and run alongside the historic landscapes of Guangfulin Cultural Relics Park.

Event services

This year's race introduces a personalized video service powered by AI imaging technology. Cameras at key points along the route will capture each runner in action, and participants can download their own professionally edited race video after the event.

Student volunteers from eight universities in Songjiang university town will also provide lively support and service throughout the race weekend.
