2026 Shanghai E-Prix set for July 4–5, tickets now on sale
The 2026 Shanghai E-Prix, part of the Formula E World Championship, will take place on July 4 and 5 at the Shanghai International Circuit. Ticket sales are now open.
A third consecutive year for Formula E in Shanghai
Shanghai is hosting the event for the third year in a row. New driver and team lineups have added suspense to every round of Season 12. Twenty cars will go wheel-to-wheel on the Shanghai International Circuit.
The championship highlights cutting-edge technology, innovation, and sustainability. Fans will once again see the full potential of the GEN3 Evo car, which can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 1.86 seconds. Season 12 marks the final competitive season for the GEN3 Evo, with the all-new GEN4 car set to debut in Season 13.
Alberto Longo, co-founder and chief championship officer of Formula E, said he is thrilled to be bringing the championship back to Shanghai for a third year. He added that together with Sanya in Hainan province, China will now be hosting two rounds in a single season, and that Season 12 features the largest calendar in the championship's history.
