2026 Shanghai Future Star Cup to kick off in August
The 2026 Shanghai Future Star Cup will take place from Aug 3 to 22 in Pudong New Area. A total of 16 youth teams from China and abroad, including clubs from England, Germany, Spain, Portugal, France, and Argentina, will play 40 matches across the men's and women's competitions.
This year's tournament features a major upgrade, with a women's competition added alongside the men's event.
The men's tournament runs from Aug 3 to 9 at SAIC Motor Pudong Arena and Yuanshen Sports Center. The lineup includes Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Sporting CP, River Plate, Athletic Bilbao, and Bayer Leverkusen, as well as China's U17 men's national team and the Shanghai men's team.
The women's tournament takes place from Aug 16 to 22 at Yuanshen Sports Center and Kangqiao Football Base. China's U17 women's national team and the Shanghai women's team will face six European club academies: Real Madrid, Arsenal, Manchester City, Real Sociedad, Bayern Munich, and Paris FC.
Beyond the matches, community events and coaching forums will connect young players, coaches, and local fans. Players will also explore Shanghai through evening cruises on the Huangpu River, city tours, and cultural activities.
Ticketing
Pre-sales are now open. Tickets for the men's matches are priced at 50 ($7.40), 80, 120, and 200 yuan, while tickets for the women's matches are priced at 30, 60, and 120 yuan.
Two‑person ticket packages are offered at 15 percent off, and three‑person ticket packages at 20 percent off.
Those who purchased tickets for the 2023‑2025 editions of the Shanghai Future Star Cup will receive exclusive vouchers that can be combined with package discounts.
