The 2026 Shanghai Yangtze Beach Half Marathon is now open for registration. Scheduled for Nov 15 in Baoshan district, the race will welcome 8,000 runners to a course that winds through industrial landscapes and along scenic riverfronts.

Race route

The race features three distinct sections, beginning at Gate 2 of Baosteel on Tongji Road. Here, runners make their way through the industrial landscapes of the steel mill area.

They then enter a 12.56-km waterfront stretch offering sweeping views of the confluence of the Yangtze and Huangpu rivers.

After passing the Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal, runners finish on the south side of the Estuary Science and Technology Museum of Yangzi River Shanghai.

Registration period: 2:30 pm on Aug 26 to noon on Sept 22

Entry fee: 120 yuan ($18.13) per person

Lottery results: To be announced on Sept 28

Refund policy: Unsuccessful applicants will receive refunds within 10 to 20 business days after the lottery results are announced.
