2026 Buick LPGA Shanghai set to tee off in October

The 2026 Buick LPGA Shanghai will take place from Oct 15 to 18 at Sheshan International Golf Club. With a total purse of $3.2 million, this year's tournament sets a new record for an LPGA event in Asia.

As the first stop of the LPGA's Asian fall swing, the tournament will feature 81 top players from around the world competing over four days of stroke play. Defending champion and former world No 1 Jeeno Thitikul of Thailand will return alongside 2024 champion and major winner Yin Ruoning of China.

Sheshan International Golf Club has been recognized multiple times as one of the world's top 50 platinum clubs and among Asia's top 100 platinum clubs. The course has hosted several historic moments, including Tiger Woods' first professional tournament on the Chinese mainland and victories by Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson, and Xander Schauffele, cementing its status as one of China's most influential championship courses.

During the tournament, the venue will offer a range of on-site activities, including the Buick brand experience center, golf simulators, player interactions, and family-friendly programs, creating a golf carnival experience for all ages.
