The Professional Windsurfers Association Shanghai Freestyle Foil Invitational 2026 and the eighth Shanghai Windsurfing Masters will be held from Nov 7 to 11 at Yuandang Lake in Qingpu district, offering spectators a range of cultural and tourism perks.

Bringing together international professionals and domestic windsurfing enthusiasts, the event will feature freestyle foil windsurfing, with a tow-in freestyle session planned if wind conditions prevent the main competition from proceeding. Spectators can watch windsurfing boards fitted with hydrofoils rise above the water and reach speeds of up to 60 kilometers per hour.

Spectators can scan the official QR code to reserve free entry and redeem their registration screenshots for physical spectator tickets at designated booths.

Those with a physical ticket can enjoy half-price admission to the Shanghai Grand View Garden through the end of December, along with exclusive shopping discounts at popular local shopping malls, including Bailian Outlets Plaza, Panlong Xintiandi, and Oasis Smart Valley Huayuanli, during the event.

The event will also feature local green agricultural products, intangible cultural heritage crafts, and creative cultural products.

Visitors are advised to bring sun protection gear, windbreakers, and binoculars and must remain within designated safe viewing zones.
