Jinshan district launched its 2026 Shanghai Summer International Consumption Season program on July 19 in Lyuxiang town. More than 10 events, organized around six themes, will run from July to October, covering sports, urban exploration, cultural memory, music, entertainment, and relaxation.

S-Sports

Several sporting events are scheduled as part of the program.

The 2026 Shanghai Bay Area Triathlon Series will host its autumn open-water swimming race and adult triathlon on Oct 17 and 18.

In addition, the Yangtze River Delta table tennis invitational and the Shanghai youth gateball invitational will take place later in the season, with dates to be announced.

U-Urban

Jinshan Coastal Green Space is now welcoming visitors. The 560,000-square-meter lawn offers a wide-open space for outdoor recreation away from downtown Shanghai.

The area's professional kite sports base will host a range of activities, including kite performances, pet gatherings, and large-scale yoga sessions.

In September and October, Shanghai Blooming Garden will host the gesang flower cultural and tourism festival. Visitors can enjoy seasonal flower displays, shopping, and dining throughout the park.

M-Cultural Memory

In September, Jinshan will introduce a series of activities themed on the district's marine fishing culture.

Visitors will be able to browse seafood markets featuring local specialties such as dried fish and shrimp paste, enjoy free tastings, and take part in hands-on experiences of intangible cultural heritage.

Fengjing Ancient Town will also present water parades, traditional ceremonial performances, themed markets, local agricultural products, and other locally made specialties.

M-Music

The Music Beer Festival at Jinshan City Beach opened on July 18 and will run over two consecutive weekends, with events held every Saturday and Sunday for a total of four days.

Nearly 20 market vendors are participating in the festival, serving fresh beers from China and abroad, along with barbecue and local snacks.

On the same day, a music-themed carnival opened at Aegean Bingo, transforming the shopping complex into a large open-air street water park. The event features live performances by popular bands, children's rock groups from China and abroad, and youth choirs.

Visitors can also enjoy six themed water-play zones, splash parades, and other water activities throughout the day.

E-Entertainment

Shanghai Legoland Resort is hosting its Lego Festival through Aug 31, featuring five themed zones inspired by the FIFA World Cup, Formula 1 racing, music, creative building, and Lego's botanical collection.

The festival includes character meet-and-greets, hands-on building activities, and live shows designed for both children and adults.

R-Relaxation

Shanghai Langxia Country Park will host its fruit and vegetable festival throughout July and August.

The event combines the area's traditional Jiangnan water town scenery, modern agriculture, and woodland landscapes with activities such as melon-eating contests, folk celebrations, lotus viewing, water play, crab catching, camping, and barbecue. Local fruits will also be featured at pop-up tasting events in downtown Shanghai.

In October, Baijia village in Zhangyan town will host pet fun sports games. Visitors and their pets can take part in dog rally competitions, obedience challenges, pet-and-owner yoga sessions, and other pet-friendly activities in a relaxed outdoor setting.
