The Tongji International Dragon Boat Team is recruiting in preparation for the 2025 Shanghai International Student Dragon Boat Race! Scan the QR code in the poster above by April 15 to join. Up to 60 students (40 men and 20 women) will be selected.

Eligibility

• Open to all current international students at Tongji University, including undergraduates, postgraduates, doctoral candidates, exchange students, preparatory students, and Chinese language program participants.
• As dragon boat racing is an intensive water sport, participants must be in good health and proficient swimmers.
• No prior experience is required — just bring your passion and commitment!

Dragon boat race rules

Teams comprise 18 paddlers and one drummer. The 200-meter event is mixed-gender, requiring at least six female paddlers per team. The drummer can be of either gender.
