Ibragimova Irodakhon, an international student from Uzbekistan at the Shanghai Institute of Political Science and Law, was drawn to Shanghai by its urban vitality, cultural charm blending modernity and tradition, and its spirit of inclusiveness. Just two months after arriving, she volunteered for the 8th China International Import Expo.

She said the experience had been deeply rewarding and full of learning opportunities. Her role included assisting Chinese and international reporters, answering questions, and helping attendees find the information they needed. Through the experience, she came to appreciate the value of teamwork, responsibility, organization, and efficiency. Additionally, She valued the chance to practice her Chinese and gain a firsthand understanding of Chinese culture.
