The Lyceum Theatre, built in 1930, stands as one of the oldest European-style theaters in Shanghai. Its interior reflects the grandeur of an Italian Renaissance mansion. The stage measures 19.5 meters in width and 13 meters in depth, nearly matching the area of the auditorium.
Esteemed artists such as Bai Yang, Liu Qiong, Tao Jin, Shi Hui and Shangguan Yunzhu have graced the Lyceum Theatre with their performances. Additionally, the earliest weekly concerts in China were hosted within these historic walls.
