This summer, Baoshan district invites you to embark on an unforgettable journey during the cruise experience week, a highlight of the 36th Shanghai Tourism Festival. Enjoy a vibrant celebration featuring four major events and 18 themed activities across the district, promising a spectacular summer carnival.

1. Cruise experience week opening ceremony

Time: Aug 7

Location: Shanghai Sea World shopping mall, T1 atrium

Kick off the festivities with a grand opening ceremony that sets the stage for a week of exploration and excitement.

2. Immersive water and shore adventures

Cruise experience: Step aboard the Adora Magic City, Spectrum of the Seas, and MSC Bellissima for a luxurious day of dining, entertainment, and relaxation.

Onshore tour: Discover Baoshan's hidden gems with themed shore excursions that capture the essence of summer, from breathtaking sunrises to cultural and artistic highlights.

3. Exploring cruise culture

1. Lotus-themed event

Location: Gucun Park

Revel in the beauty of lotus blossoms at Gucun Park's summer garden party, a fusion of nature, culture, and science.

2. Handicraft-themed study camp

Location: China Industrial Design Museum

3. DIY chocolate

4. 2025 MAGIC3 Shanghai 3×3 Basketball Youth Tournament

Time: Aug 9-10 (Baoshan district competition); Aug 23 (Finals)

Location: Shanghai Sea World outdoor atrium; Baoshan Sports Center

The district competition will feature 32 teams and approximately 160 participants competing in a two-day knockout tournament to determine the top two teams advancing to the finals. The finals will also bring together the city's top eight teams, with well-known basketball influencers and key opinion leaders joining the event.

5. Music concert

Location: Shanghai Long Beach Concert Hall

Celebrate history through music at a concert commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45) and the World Anti-Fascist War.
