During the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference held from July 26 to 28, the Forum on Mathematical Frontiers and Foundational Reconstruction of AI, co-hosted by the Putuo district and Feishu, convened alongside the main event.

Two international mathematics laboratories — the Fefferman Lab (focused on fluid dynamics) and the Hitchin-Ngo Lab (focused on geometry and physics) — jointly founded by Feishu and Spain’s National Committee for Mathematics, officially launched in Putuo. Academic partnerships were strengthened through student exchanges between top global universities and leading Chinese institutions, solidifying Putuo’s research capabilities in integrating mathematics and AI.

Matrix Robotics unveiled its humanoid robot MATRIX-1, featuring the proprietary Matrix Brain system that enables human-like "see-think-act" capabilities through integrated cognitive decision-making and motor control.

Schneider Electric displayed AI-driven industrial upgrades at its Putuo factory, where AI solutions increased productivity. Its newly launched EcoStruxure™ AI Box Solutions empower industrial digital transformation through real-time data processing and decision-making.

Shanghai AI Financial School of East China Normal University introduced "Silicon Fin: SAIFS Financial Intelligence Engine", a FinAI prototype achieving breakthroughs in cognition modeling and regulatory framework integration.

Seizing opportunities in technological transformation, Putuo has prioritized AI industry growth by cultivating nearly 100 AI enterprises, particularly in algorithm R&D. Efforts are also made in establishing supportive policies and innovation ecosystems, and driving AI integration in traditional industry upgrades, contributing to Shanghai's global AI hub ambitions and international sci-tech innovation center development.
