WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 opens free visitor registration

WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 will run from Sept 22 to 27, with competition events held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from Sept 23 to 26. The competition will be open to the general public during designated time slots, with free admission.

Visitors wishing to attend must submit an online registration application through the official registration channels by the end of Sept 14. Approved applicants will receive an electronic entry pass, which must be presented for admission during the selected time slot.

 

Registration channels

(1) Mobile access

Search for "世赛通" in Alipay or WeChat, open the corresponding mini program, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete registration and booking.

Within the "世赛通" WeChat mini program, tap "Me", then select "Registration".

You may also download the "世赛通 (WorldSkills SH)" app from your device's app store to register.

(2) PC access

Visit the official WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 website to complete your registration.

 

Registration process

(1) Submitting your application

Step 1: Log in using your mobile phone number or email address.

Step 2: Navigate to "+Register" → "Individual Visitor" → "Book Now".

Enter the visitor information under "+Select Person", select the corresponding viewing session, and click "Save & Submit" to complete the application.

Notes:

  • Each account can register up to four visitors at once, including the account holder, for the same session.
  • Visitors under 16 cannot register independently; they must be linked to an adult's registration and accompanied by the adult throughout the visit.
  • Children aged 6 and above (born before Sept 22, 2020) must register. Children under 6 do not need to register, but must be accompanied by a registered parent or guardian and provide proof of age for entry.
  • Real-name registration is mandatory. You must provide your nationality, full name, gender, identity document type and number, contact information, email address, preferred viewing date and session, and, as required, a clear front-facing digital ID photo and a photo of your identity document.
  • All information provided must be accurate. Double-check all entries before finalizing your application. Core information cannot be changed after submission.

(2) Checking your application status

Check your registration status by logging back into the same channel two to seven business days after submission. If the status shows "approved", your registration is successful.

An electronic entry pass will be sent via the same registration channel within 24 hours of the selected viewing date. You may take a screenshot of the pass for entry. If the status shows "not approved", update your information and resubmit as instructed.

 

Entry guidelines

(1) Viewing sessions

  • Sept 23: 10 am – 5 pm
  • Sept 24: 9 am – 5 pm
  • Sept 25: 9 am – 5 pm
  • Sept 26: 9 am – 5 pm

The latest entry time each day is 4 pm. Visitors must exit by 5 pm. Those with valid passes may re-enter the venue multiple times on the same day within the permitted hours.

(2) Entry verification

Approved visitors must complete on-site identity verification. The electronic pass is for personal use only.

All attendees and their belongings are subject to security checks. Prohibited items are not permitted in the venue. A detailed list of prohibited and restricted items will be available on the official website.

In the event of large crowds, flow management measures may be implemented. Visitors are expected to follow instructions and maintain orderly conduct. Touching competition equipment, exhibits, or facilities without authorization is not permitted.

 

Reminders

  • Each day has a limited capacity. Once the daily quota is reached, registration for that day will be closed.
  • Registration is online only. Walk-in or on-site registration is not available.
  • Viewing is completely free. Beware of third parties offering paid booking services.
  • Some competition areas may be noisy, and competition-related activities, booths, exhibits, and machinery may pose risks to minors. Entry for children aged under 6 is not recommended and is at the discretion of their accompanying guardian.
  • It is advisable to arrive at least 30 minutes early to allow sufficient time for security and identity checks.
  • If errors in your personal information prevent you from being approved to attend or from entering the venue, you will be responsible for the consequences. If you still wish to attend, you must submit a new application.
  • Once a visitor confirms their booking, they are deemed to have agreed to the relevant statements concerning the event, and the visitor's personal information and viewing session cannot be changed. Transferring or selling admission credentials or electronic entry passes is prohibited. Any resulting consequences and legal risks shall be borne by the transferor and/or transferee.
