Shanghai gears up for intl figure skating event
The acclaimed ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships 2024 will be held at the SPD Bank Oriental Sports Center in Shanghai's Pudong New Area from Jan 30 to Feb 4.
The event will start with official training on Jan 30-31, followed by the competition days from Feb 1 to 4.
Organized by the International Skating Union, or ISU and co-hosted by the China Figure Skating Association and Shanghai Administration of Sports, the event holds significant influence.
It is said to be considered on par with the Winter Olympics skating competition, skating World Championships and skating European Championships.
It will showcase 112 athletes from 15 countries and regions, including renowned skaters from China, Japan, South Korea, the United States and Canada.
