Want to enter food industry? Here's what you should do
Wanting to cook in a commercial kitchen, Stephen first needs to obtain a health certificate.
He arrives at a community health service center located on West Nanjing Road, Jing'an district, Shanghai, to do his tests.
This health certificate is a precautionary measure set up for anyone who handles food for public consumption. Doing these tests will reduce the spread of diseases and protect public health and safety.
All that's required to do these tests is an ID card or a passport.
After receiving a receipt, Stephen finished two or three tests in 20 minutes and went home. After three to five business days, he can go to the website (http://jkz.sh.cn/index.html) or the app (YiWangTongBan) to check his results.
If Stephen's tests are fine, he will be allowed to work in a commercial kitchen.
