Due to adjustments in job functions and to further enhance the efficiency of integrated talent services, the Shanghai municipal service counter for expat's work permits in China – located on the first floor of the Jimao Tower, 1525 West Zhongshan Road, Xuhui district – will be relocated to the service hall of the Shanghai Talent Building at 77 Meiyuan Road, Jing'an district, on Aug 12, 2024.

The relocation only involves the adjustment of the municipal-level offline service counter. 

The online applications and approval processes for expat work permits in China, the applications website, the public service hotline and the municipal "Single Window for Foreigner's Work Permit and Residence Permit" – located on the third floor, 1500 Minsheng Road, Pudong New Area – will remain unchanged.

The address and service hours of the new service counter are as follows:

Address: No 77 Meiyuan Road, Jing'an district, Shanghai Talent Building, 1st Floor, Window No 15

Service Hours: Monday to Thursday

9 am - 11: 30 am (last ticket issued at 11:15 am)

1: 30 am - 3 pm (last ticket issued at 4:45 pm)

Friday

9 am- 11: 30 am(last ticket issued at 11:15 am)

1: 30 am - 3 pm (last ticket issued at 2:45 pm)
