SIFF launches new merchandise for 28th edition
The 28th Shanghai International Film Festival has unveiled a new collection of cultural and creative merchandise. The lineup spans seven categories, including plush keychains, retro metal fridge magnets, versatile shoulder bags, and handcrafted ornaments that incorporate intangible cultural heritage techniques.
1. Plush keychain series
Four plush keychains transform the festival's Golden Goblet trophy and Shanghai TV Festival's Magnolia Awards into adorable characters. The designs are larger and more playful than last year's versions.
2. Nostalgic films-inspired collection
Metal fridge magnet badges feature classic movie quotes with an American retro aesthetic. Designed for versatility, they can be used as fridge magnets or worn as badges.
A yellow diamond-shaped mirror pendant draws inspiration from vintage Hollywood motifs, paying tribute to the golden age of cinema.
3. Limited-edition acrylic fridge magnets
These dark-toned, dramatic magnets pay tribute to classic literary giants. They are available individually or as collectible sets.
4. Poster-inspired collection
A range of merchandise based on this year's festival poster includes an A3 collectible laser poster (in-store only), a festival-themed ticket holder, and a Moleskine notebook in collaboration with SIFF.
5. Theater co-branded magnet set
SIFF has partnered with four landmark Shanghai theaters: Majestic Theatre, Grand Cinema, Shanghai Film Art Center, and Tianshan Cinema-Hongqiao Art Centre Flagship Store. The vintage-style magnets draw inspiration from the distinctive architecture of each venue.
6. Everyday essentials
A lightweight Tyvek shoulder bag in striking pink and black stripes features an inner pocket for small items. A two-tone cap comes in sky blue and milk white, with contrasting embroidery. A SIFF-themed memo board, complete with a marker pen, offers a convenient way to keep track of daily to-do lists.
7. Intangible cultural heritage collaboration
SIFF has partnered with two intangible cultural heritage crafts from Nanjing, Jiangsu province: Gaochun ceramics and Qixia folk fabric art. The collaboration has produced a mini ceramic speaker and a scented pendant crafted from natural cotton fabric. Both items are available in-store only.
All the new items are now available for pre-order through SIFF's official merchandise mini program. For more merchandise updates, follow the festival's official website and WeChat account.
