Over 60 international students from 17 countries gathered at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics for a summer camp that combined cultural immersion with insights into cutting-edge technologies.

During the three-week "Global SUFE" program, the participants engaged in courses focused on modern Chinese language, China's business operations, and the application of artificial intelligence. In addition to classroom learning, the students took part in a variety of extracurricular activities that enriched their experience of life in Shanghai.

In the Chinese language classes, they began by learning Chinese characters and literature, gradually delving deeper into local culture. The discussions fostered cross-cultural communication and helped students explore their identities in an increasingly globalized world.

The business classes, which used China's automobile industry as a case study, offered a window into the country's dynamic economy. From theoretical concepts to real-world applications, these courses provided a structured overview of the rapidly evolving AI sector.

Beyond classroom learning, students participated in various social and cultural activities, including painting, calligraphy, and crafting scented sachets. They enjoyed evening strolls along the Bund and visits to Zhujiajiao, a traditional watertown, blending modernity with heritage.

The program also featured field trips to leading enterprises in Shanghai, such as Tesla China and SenseTime. There, the students observed firsthand the innovative applications of AI and engaged in lively discussions about Shanghai's industrial landscape.
