Since entering the Chinese market, it has been active in sectors such as commercial buildings, data centers, and renewable energy. Transitioning from "for China" to "in China", it has increasingly localized its production and research.

The YORK HPS-H 200 Screw High-Speed VSD Permanent Magnet High Temperature Heat Pump, developed and manufactured in China, exemplifies the company's innovation in smart manufacturing with its low-carbon, energy-efficient, and versatile design.

Similarly, the EasyIO Neo Series is the company's first building automation system developed and manufactured locally, setting new industry standards.

For over a decade, Johnson Controls has supported the CAR-ASHRAE Student Design Competition, fostering industry innovation and sustainable development by integrating production, education, and research, and nurturing young talent in the refrigeration field.

The company's Asia-Pacific headquarters, established in Shanghai's Changning district in 2017, contributes significantly to regional economic development.

Located in the Linkong Economic Park, it is the first building in China to receive triple certification: LEED Platinum, China Green Building Three-Star, and EDGE.

Asia-Pacific President Anu Rathninde attributes Johnson Controls' success in China to its passionate talent pool, relentless technological innovation, a green localized supply chain, and strong partnerships with local entities.

In Shanghai, the company actively promotes energy-efficient buildings and develops low-carbon communities, with Changning's longstanding support.

Johnson Controls plans to deepen its presence in China by aligning with the country's low-carbon strategies, focusing on energy retrofits for existing buildings, smart system upgrades, and carbon-neutral technologies.
