TÜV Rheinland, a global leader in independent third-party testing, inspection, and certification, recently unveiled its laboratory cluster, InnoHub, in Shanghai's Jing'an district.

The facility is dedicated to advancing cutting-edge technologies, housing six specialized labs that focus on smart cockpit, auditory interaction, display and optics, display peripheral products, as well as user and pet-friendly research.

The establishment of InnoHub reflects the current trends driving the industry. Jay Yang, senior vice president of BS products at TÜV Rheinland Greater China, noted that AI-powered large models are reshaping human-machine interaction, AR and VR are redefining visual perception, and the pet economy is emerging as a key growth point for emotional consumption.

InnoHub's mission goes beyond simply verifying the safety of technologies. It is committed to grounding these innovations in real-world cases, ensuring a user experience that resonates emotionally, through interdisciplinary research and a comprehensive standard certification system.

One of the most significant contributions of InnoHub will be its role in enhancing the ultra-high-definition audiovisual industry in Jing'an. With TÜV Rheinland's advanced testing and certification technologies, along with its standards system for UHD products, InnoHub will provide technical consulting and certification services to related enterprises. This will ensure their products meet both domestic and international standards, boosting their global competitiveness.

Looking ahead, the lab cluster plans to expand its business into areas such as AI, smart home appliances, multimodal reliability, and consumer robots. The InnoHub team is also focused on driving innovation through collaborations with industry partners, universities, and medical institutions.
